Best football league in the world...

This season the English Premier League seems 2 b d most open league. At least the top 5-6 teams can still think of winning the title whereas in the other leagues by this time at most there will b 2 or 3 contenders. Also the relegation battle is also heating up. The difference between 10th and 20th position team is just 7 points. That is the beauty f English football where no team can be taken lightly... Hail FA!!!

Placed in Persistent Systems..

After one aptitude test, 2 technical interviews and 1 HR interview, I am finally placed in Persistent.
Dont know what qualities they saw in me... Bt i dnt mind!!!!

Net Connection in hostel

After a month long wait for the internet connection to be installed in our hostel, we were finally linked to d cyber world 2day...
It all began in the beginning of this sem when sum students f our hostel raised the topic of being OL everytym (so tat they cud srch 4 prj related info... lol)
Thus our quest began in securing the best possible plan
1st v approached tata broadband, paid d money, completed all d formalities but d worst had 2 happen
They refunded us the money back saying that there were no IPs left in d vadgaon area. So v had 2 let go this plan

Nw tym 4 Reliance
Reliance has an age old tradition of delayin each and every possible service. It took more than a month after payin d amount 4 them to come to the hostel and install it...
Aaj hi wo din hai jab pragati hostel ke itihaas me sunahare aksharon se ye kahani likhi jayegi...

In Malayali calendar today is 4th of Chingam: a happy new year 1185! No wonder some can't enter the 21st century -- we're stuck in the 12th!

SRK detained at d Newark Airport

SRK detained? OMG dont these guys know who Shah Rukh is? have they gone crazy? This was the most common reaction after the news broke about him being detained for 2 hours.

If we see from the point of view of that security official the person is just another South Asian guy who wants to enter USA. It is his job to interrogate each and every person they feel may be compromising America's security.

SRK rightly said that the issue is being completely blown out of proportions. Whether he meant it or not I dont know. But in the press conference he held at Mannat after returning from the US he was so precise in answering all those questions put forth by the media. The one answer I really loved was... "I dont want to seem pompous but Shah Rukh Khan does not need publicity stunts to stay in the limelight" after being asked whether he was doing this to promote his movie My Name Is Khan which has a similar theme.

For many of us in India, it is a status symbol if you are being allowed to pass through any security checks whereas in America they dont give a damn who you are.

We Indians also need to adopt such strict measures at all places to ensure the security of the citizens. One must remember that on adopting such stringent measures there have been no terrorist attacks on America after 9/11.

APJ Abdul Kalam was frisked by United Airlines officials which was totally uncalled for as he is a former president.

One thing that the Americans can do is become a bit less paranoid and as SRK said "upgrade their system" so that the names of innocent people dont pop up on their computers.
